Hey there fans of the good ol' ukelele,

Being the kind-hearted, open-minded person that I am, I'm about to share with you my latest creations regardless of whether you say "Youkuhlaylee" or "Ookuhlaylee". Every week I post a new tune to my YouTube in spite of the day job doing its best to stop me, and for a measly three bucks you can have access to the tabs for all of them by becoming a patron.

Here's what I've been up to this month.

Where Have All the Flowers Gone This video is worth watching for the lovely countryside in the background and the cool VW camper! This classic anti-war song is really easy to play, the famous four chords and a traditional picking style (i.e. not campanella) make it accessible for all.

Chanson de Baladé Sweet tune from the renaissance period, I guess - in fact I'm not sure this is the right name for it and I have no idea who the composer is. But anyway, it's really pretty, there is a little harmony as well as some campanella passages.

This Land Is Your Land Woody Guthrie folk song. Ironically it's sung in American schools as a patriotic song, but Guthrie actually wrote it as a commentary on inequality. My instrumental version has two ways to play it - clawhammer and chord melody.

Morrison's Jig If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that this was one of the first campanella arrangements I ever did. The second part always bothered me though, so I decided to sit down and find a more efficient way to play it. So now there's a revised tab and a tutorial, so what are you waiting for?

Canario Early Baroque by lutenist Johannes Kapsberger. I didn't do a tutorial because it's long so a bar-by-bar playthrough would have gone on forever. I trust you to decide whether you are up to learning it, tabs are available to patrons of course.

The Black Joke This is a Morris dance tune from central England. It's a jig, but what makes it sound different to an Irish or Scottish jig? Have a listen to see if you can find out.
